Leave Kampala early in the morning and enjoy an Equator stopover, Igongo Cultural Centre, Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat rides along the Kazinga Channel. You will be able to view amazing sights; communities that live on the shores and have fishing as their economic activity, several species of birds, numerous hippos, elephants and buffaloes coming to cool off the heat and have drink.
Day 1: To Queen Elizabeth National Park
Leave Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning. Have a stopover at the Equator to take pictures and shop for souvenir. We will have lunch en route at Igongo culture centre which also houses a museum for Ankole the Ankole people.
Dinner and over night at Mweya hostel(Budget) or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge(Medium Budget) or Mweya safaris lodge for Luxury
Day 2: Game drive and boat ride along Kazinga Channel
We start with an early morning game drive towards the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. This will allow us to have an opportunity to catch the lions and other animals before they get back in their hide outs. We will search for the other wild animals like elephants, buffaloes, leopards and others on this drive. We will then return to the lodge for lunch. After Lunch we take a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Here we are able to view amazing sights; communities that live on the shores and have fishing as their economic activity, several species of birds, numerous hippos, elephants, buffaloes coming to cool off the heat and have drink. Also to be sighted are monitor lizards and crocodiles. This cruise is a good ‘icing on the cake’ for your trip. Retire to the Lodge for the night
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala
Have relaxed morning with breakfast. Prepare to leave for Kampala, will have lunch en route to Kampala.
