By far, one of the most relaxing spots from my 3 week journey in Uganda. It has one of the most all encompassing environments. This lodge is perched on a rock and the views were outstanding. I stayed in the lobby on a hammock or the comfortable lounge chairs for 2 days unwinding from my 3 week journey in Uganda. My daughter and I stayed in the Eland Hut. The whole environment is authentically African in décor. Animals roamed on the nearby rocks and were just a camera shot away. Food was consistently great for 2 days! Beds were comfy. I loved the zebra motif on the bed nets. Owners were warm and hospitable. Chris the bar tender/front desk staff member was amazing. Thank you for the South African wine recommendations for our dinners. It is only a 1 hour drive from Mbarara on a great highway. It lies just outside of Lake Mburo National Park & it is only 5 minutes away from the entrance. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I have to return just to catch a glimps of the “house” Python that was not around during my stay. Pool would be something to think about for future development and plans. Thank you so much!
