Bughalitsa is a rural community in the Rwenzori foothills in Kasese district, Kilembe overlooking the Lake George plains holding queen Elizabeth National park. The group was initiated on 16th August 2010 by 20 local members, 11 male and 9 women to participate in community tourism to improve the local life and participate in environment conservation. This project started.
The community offers a hill tour while they work on construction of the campsite to be able to give the clients an opportunity to sleep up on the hills. Currently, the people taking the walk will return back to Kasese town for dinner and overnight For extra adventure, one can volunteer at the local school and stay in one of the homes or participate in designing the campsite to get experience of building in a ugandan rural community
